Sheridan Campbell was born near Majenica Aug. 25, 1867, was married to Kittie Huffman Aug. 3, 1887, departed this life Aug. 30, 1895, aged 28 years and five days. A wife and three children, two girls, mother, two sisters and two brothers are left to mourn their loss. Funeral services took place at the house on Sunday, the sermon being preached by Rev. Wm. Perdue. Interment was at Lancaster. The deceased was a patron of the Republican for over twelve years past, and was always prompt in paying and a very pleasant gentleman. We esteemed him highly and was much surprised and pained on learning of his death, as his sickness had not been reported. His last illness, Rev. Perdue informed us, was typhoid fever, terminiating in jaundice. The oldest daughter is said to be quite sick from the same fever and may not recover.
