Just found this site looking for Daniel Fisher's parents. I agree with your info but have had many who say the line comes from England. Do you have source info on your infomation? My grandfather, Lionel E. Fisher, told me there were two brothers who could not get along so they decided to each go his own way and one dropped the "c" from Fischer and the other kept it.
