    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Finkle Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gh.2ADI/4533 Message Board Post: The Warren Republican, Thursday, November 7, 1895 Ella Finkle Passes Away. Ella Finkle, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Finkle, was born Sept. 29, 1866, and died Nov. 6, 1895, aged 20 years, 1 month and 7 days. The end came as she had lived, peacefully, beautifully. The young lady was taken sick the first of May with heart and lung trouble, and through all the bright summer days she lay an invalid, constantly attended by a devoted mother. Saturday she had a stroke of paralysis. It was the beginning of the end. In a conversation with her mother that day she said: "If this is paralysis I do not want to live, for I would be a cripple." It was then that she and her mother abandoned all hope. Sunday another stroke paralyized her already exhausted frame, and after that she lay as if already dead and awaited the end. Miss Finkle was a young lady of exemplary character, commanding the respect and admiration of all her friends and acquaintances. Quiet and modest in demeanor, she lived her brief life calmly and grandly, and just as she thought she was nearing the middle of her story the silent angel took the pen from her hand and wrote the word "Finis." Her life story was a quiet and uneventful one, with the exception of the last six months, when she fought the battle of pain and suffering bravely and silently, and at last went down. Oh, spotless woman in a world of shame, With splendid and silent scorn Go back to God as white as you came, The kingliest warrior born. Funeral services will be held at the house tomorrow at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. Bridge, of the M.E. Church. Interment will be in the Mitchell cemetery.
