The Death of Alfred Moore Was a Former Prosecutor for Huntington County. Announcement of the death of Alfred Moore, Wednesday afternoon, came as a shock to the people of this city. His death occurred at the home of his sister, Mrs. L.P. Boyle, in Chicago, Wednesday forenoon, from heart failure. Alfred Moore was born in this city in 1849, and resided here until about twenty years ago, when he located in Chicago to continue the practice of his profession--law. He was well known in the county and throughout the State. He was a graduate of Wabash College and of the law department of Michigan University. He began the practice of law in this city with the late Judge Sayler, afterwards became a partner of the late L.P. Milligan. He was prosecuting Attorney for the county four years, and was the aughor of a book on criminal law. He was one of the founders of the school library, was actively engaged in efforts to guild gravel roads, and for several years was associated with A.W. DeLong as editor of the Herald. His remains were brought to this city! , Thursday night, and lay in state at the residence of his sister, Mrs. E.T. Taylor, until Saturday afternoon, when funeral services were held and interment took place in Mt. Hope cemetery.
