Obadiah Foreman was born in Virginia, May 30, 1807. Died in Emporia, Kansas, February 21, 1890, aged 82 years, 8 months and 21 days. He came with his parents to Clinton county, Ohio, in early manhood. Was married to Sarah S. Hamilton and to them were born seven children. Came with his family to Huntington county, Indiana, about the year 1855, settling on a farm one-half mile south of Plum Tree. Mother and two sisters preceded father to the better world. He was a member of the Methodist church, nearly half a century. Father and mother endured the toils and hardships of pioneer life in Indiana. Well do I remember the old home with its sacred influences, the old family Bible as it lay on the stand, the lessons that were read, the prayers that went up from those that are now silent in death. Father died trusting in the Savior. Said all was well with him. It was good night here and good morning over there. We mourn not as those without hope father is at reat. We will meet in the sweet by and by. Mrs. R. Redding.
