Rittenhouse, and wife of M.M. Souers, died at her home near Plum Tree, last Sunday morning at 7 o'clock, aged 50 years, 3 months and 2 days. She was afflicted with Bright's disease for more than a year, and her sufferings, especially the last thirteen weeks, were very great. She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom are living. Funeral services were held at the West Union church and the remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining. The sermon was preached by Rev. Boswell, pastor of the Plum Tree Christian church, of which society she was an acceptable and worthy member.
