    1. tax records?
    2. Michael Helm
    3. I've been trying to work out some family history problems with tax records in Ohio, and it has been really helpful. These tax records are real estate & personal property tax duplicates & lists. What is available in Indiana, especially in Grant & Huntington Counties? What about local court records? Poll taxes? The LDS FHC library had a lot of film of old Ohio records, but don't seem to have much for these Indiana counties. Are they archived somewhere? Do the local court houses or history/genealogy societies have copies or access &c? Did they use the old journals for packing materials or fuel for the bakery ovens (don't laugh, famous Egyptian archaeology story). Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, ==mwh

I do note however that for Maggie J. Flora, the tombstone has 32 years but the index has 22 years. 32 is quite clear thanks to your time and effort in putting the picture of the actual tombstone. Thank you again Marilyn Hansen
