Samuel married 30 Nov 1851, Prob.Howard Co, Indiana, Caroline HALE (1832 VA - 1902 Prob IN), daughter of Abraham HALE (1787 MD - 1855 IN) and Sarah "Sally" TAYLOR (1792 NJ - 1857 IN). Samuel and Caroline had 5 children: Sanford Marion (1852 IN - 1930 GA) Wilson Presley (1854 IN - 1927 ??) John William (1857 IN - Aft 1860 prob IN) Thomas James (1860 IN - 1956 ??) Noah Litton (1868 IN - ???? ??) Samuel and his family were residing in Howard Co, Indiana when the 1860 and 1880 US Census' were enumerated.
