    1. [INHOWARD] Re: Elizabeth Jones Barr (Morman) 1868-69
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Barr, Jones, Harper, Macy, Barnard Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Fi.2ADE/1138.1 Message Board Post: I think you may be thinking about this Elizabeth (Jones) Barr. It seems to me that Elizabeth (Jones) Barr, daughter of Daniel Jones and Jemima Barnard, was born Dec. 3, 1803 and died sometime before 1885 in Chase Co., Kansas. I will be going to Elk Cemetery, Chase Co., KS tomorrow, June 30; and, I will see if this is the Elizabeth Barr that is buried next to my g-g-grandfather and her brother, Moses Jones, who married Eunice Macy. Eunice is buried in the Mt. Hope, Sedgwick Co., KS cemetery. Interesting enough; but, I ran across a J. F. Barr and wife, mentioned in the Burrton, Kansas newspaper of April 20, 1894. I don't know a J. F. Barr. He and his wife were of Eaton, OH, a few miles east of Richmond, IN. J. F. Barr is a "nephew" of Daniel Henry Jones, my great grandfather, and son of Moses and Eunice (Macy) Jones. The Barrs were on their way to Los Angeles, CA. I do know that the Barrs came to Kansas with the Joneses. Also, in the Burrton, KS Graphic newspaper on! Aug. 23, 1901, "The Misses Stella and Dollie Barrs of Dymon Springs, Kans., are visiting at the home of D. H. Jones." Actually, it is Diamond Springs, which is in Chase Co., KS. I don't know the relationship of Stella and Dollie Barr to D. H. Jones. I hope this helps. One more note, the Harpers (Ellsworth and D. E.) figure into these families, too. I don't know their relationships. I hope this helps. By the way, I have never known that Elizabeth (Jones) Barr married a Thomas Morman. Did he die in 1869?
