At this time he was a retired farmer. He was married to Nancy Wilson Thalls Walts at Howard County, Indiana on April 13, 1875. He is believed to have died around 1883. His widow died May 1, 1905 at Marion, Grant County, Indiana. He probably was married previously. I'd enjoy exchanging information with anyone interested.
