Born Sept. 30, 1912, in North Liberty, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Rupel) Jackson. On June 30, 1945, she was married to Paul Mangus, who died Nov. 21, 1978. A member of North Liberty Church of the Brethren, she also attended the Church of the Brethren in Kokomo. She taught school in Lakeville and South Bend Community School Corp., she retired from teaching in 1975 after 32 years. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Yoder, Kokomo; and two granddaughters. Two sisters are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at North Liberty Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Ammon Wenger officiating. Burial will be in North Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at Ellers Mortuary from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be made to Heifer Project International.
