    3. Hello and thank you: I never once thought of that. Point Isabel is very close to several other counties. It is in the very corner of Grant County. The Census taker could have crossed over into Grant and not noticed, but I guess that doesn't explain why he called it Greene Township in Howard County. (Since their wasn't a Greene township in Howard County.) But then again, if he had taken the census in both counties, perhaps he was just confused that day. I could not find my gggrandfather in Grant county in 1850. But I think it is as I thought. He never moved. They just made a mistake that day taking the census. I think perhaps on more people than just my ancestor.
