Hello. My name is LeeAnn McNabb, I am descended from a Robert Rayfield Kennedy (my great grandfather). I have traced his ancestry back through Frank/Franklin P. Kennedy, son of Julia Bullock and Robert Franklin Kennedy (married in Decatur County in 1841). It appears this Kennedy family, headed by a father named Robert as well was somewhat "busy" in Howard County, around the Kokomo area for a few decades. Robert Franklin Kennedy is the brother of Peter Bainbridge Kennedy (Peter also has a son named R. Frank Kennedy, naming him after his brother, just as my Robert Franklin Kennedy named one of his sons Peter B after his brother). In searching this counties archives I have not found much. But I have found there is a Kennedy Avenue or Street, a Kennedy Square, and a Reverend Kennedy :). I have also found my Robert Franklin buried in Old Pioneer Cemetery in 1868 (he was not in the 1870 census, so we had assumed he died in the 1860s). I already have census data, and even found one family afhental on rootsweb.com. But if anyone has ancestry information, pictures, further burial information, general family history in relation to Howard County, and a knowledge of whether any gravestones are still standing from this family I'd really like to know.
