Just a couple of weeks ago, I sent a request for deed copies to the Harrison County Recorder. They were for deeds I had found referenced in the LDS microfilm of the Harrison County deed index. It showed a deal between Leander Adams, et. al., grantee; James W. Adams grantor; dating from May 26, 1877. The recorder couldn't find the deed book! That was interesting because LDS didn't microfilm any deeds from the book. The lack of microfilm of that book pushed me into writing directly. So, as a warning to anyone out there who needs deeds from Book AW3, it's either been lost, burned up, or stolen. It's a real shame.
