James and Margaret are in Crawford Co., IL by 1850. Margaret married first, Solomon Mace in 1838, OH. She then married Jeffrey Jefferson DeLapp in 1850, Crawford Co., IL. She then married Horatio S. Smith on 11 JUN 1874, Crawford Co., IL. He has a son Marshal Smith from a previous marriage, as shown in the 1880 Crawford Co., IL census.
