Their father is the Thomas in Michael Byerley's family listed in the 1860 and 1870 censuses. When Thomas died Alice lived for a time with Paul and his wife. It was not a good match apparently. She ended up in an orphanage. Her full brother Edgar lived with Nancy Ann Byerley Fouts in Harrison Co., Indiana. She was the full sister of Paul I believe. My grandfather (also named Thomas) remained in Arkansas with his mother's brother. He had a full sister named Virginia. >From the dates in the census records I suppose my ggrandfather Thomas was the child of Michael and Margaret Miller. I visited the genealogical center in Corydon, IN just last month. I found that a Margaret Byerley had divorced a Michael Byerley. How are you related to the Byerleys?
