I did find a "James M. Brown" born November 22, 1843 who died March 14, 1902. This James M. Brown was buried at Union Chapel Christian cemetery in Boone Township. I also located an obituary for this James M. Brown (1843-1902) which states he was an old soldier, 58 years old, died of dropsy, survivors included his wife and six children, not named, buried at Union Chapel. There were a few death certificates for the Brown's for this time period (pre-1920), but none for a James Brown. Could these two James M. Brown's possibly be one and the same person???
