I've taken a closer look and now I think I understand that the people listed perhaps took out ads in the Atlas of Harrison County that was published in 1882. Is that correct? Okay then is there a copy of this Atlas in existence? And if he is listed as a merchant does that mean he ran a store? I feel like I am finally getting some pieces to the puzzle.
