    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Di.2ADE/1963.2.1 Message Board Post: Norman Lynch -- After more than 20 years of collecting info ca more than 2000 Crawford Co. IN Civil War veterans, I am still adding more info. I'm always glad to see notes like yours about your ancestor, William Harvey Franks. I had not found him as a Crawford Co. resident so have not listed him in my book, but you said he was returning from Civil War to Crawford Co. when he died en route. Was the Nancy Franks listed in 1870 census in Sterling Twp. (with children Malinda, Nancy, Eliza and William) his widow? If so,it appears that they moved from KY to Indiana ca 1860-1862 by the birthplace of children, so that explains why I did not pick up on him. I will need to find the unit he served and dates so I can add him to my listing. I hope to publish Crawford Co. IN Veterans, Vol. 1, Civil War later this year.

I don't know right now exactly what they are, but I will be in the process of going thru my papers and copying them for you................... Do you have any information on my g. grandfather Christian Samuel Niklus Boss? I have alot of info on him, because of his Civil War records.............. I will also send you a copy of my family group sheets and if there is any info on the sirnames that you need and providing I have the info, I will gladly send it to you. Thanks so much for all of the good work that you do for all of us out there....... I wish that my heart was better, but unfortunately its a genetic "thing" and it hit me like a ton of bricks...................... I would be down there in a heartbeat, what a pun........................ take care and thanks again for all that you do. I will get on my papers as soon as possible.........................
