My g-g-gfather, John ROTH, married Eva HEIM in Karbach, Bavaria before they and their children emigrated in 1854. They also settled in Harrison Co., and attended St. Mary's in Lanesville. It appears that there was a contingent of immigrants from the Karbach area who settled in that area, and it is possible that your Heim's were part of that group. Let me know if there is a connection. Jack, I think I have found a link to my Heim family coming from Bavaria, specifically from Hammelburg, Pfaffenhausen. Still checking. Will let you know if this turns out to be in error. Enjoyed your site. Looks like you have put many hours into it. Larry Heim
