I was told by my dads sister that Lewis Elberts father was David Michael mother Catherine Lemon. both born inCherokee N.C.I can not find Lewis Elbert with any family before 1900 Lewis Elbert Michael and my grand mother Lilly then the name was changed to Mikel,when I was a child there was a Abraham Mikel,,I thought maybe he was Lewis dad so far I am stumped.I am new at this and so need to finish it for my children 9 grand children and so far one Gt. grand son.if our families have any connection please let me know.
