    1. Citizenship records for 1852
    2. If you receive this twice, I apologize. I forgot to turn off my text formatting. Sorry... I would like to know how to obtain a copy of the Citizenship record of Jacob Berst, who might be my second great-grandfather. It is supposed to be on page 24, of Volume 7:1 (winter 1981) Ancestral Trails. The article is"Citizenships 1852, Harrison COunty IN" by Estylle Phillips and Catharine Summers. I wrote to this organization (Ancestral Trails) in 2003 and offered to buy whatever I had to buy -- the book, whatever -- to get this and they sent me back a handwritten note, unsigned, which said, "Not a member." I will become a member if I have to, in order to get the information. I sent them a follow up letter and got no response. There is another family also researching this Jacob Berst. But the e-mail address on Ancestry Com's Harrison County page is several years old. The other researcher is Pam Curtiss Carawan. I would like to exchange information with her. I am hoping that she posts on this list? I tried, but failed, to find a more recent e-mail for her. The Jacob Berst in Harrison COunty, Indiana comes from Beirn, Germany. There was another Jacob Berst from Clermont County, OH. It could very easily be the same man. Thank you, Buffy in Ohio [email protected] EarthLink Revolves Around You.
