Is there any connection to Elias L. Kiplinger that you know of? He was a minister in the Evangelical Church and spoke German. I do not know when or He married Elizabeth Ruth of Clay Township, St. Joseph County, no. Indiana around the year 1861. The E. Kiplingers ended up in York, Nebraska. The Ruths had lived in Portage County, OH, near Canton before in the early 1840's before settling in Northern Indiana. Did the Kiplingers you know about have any family in Portage, OH or in Trumbull County, OH? I do not have stats. for Elias. Thank you. Susan
