The Indiana atlas series is a useful research resource for those of you interested in early Indiana places and names: http://www.har-indy.com/in_map/in_index.html Each Atlas CD consists of a series of either 8 or 9 bordering counties making up 1 of 11 Zones that depict all of Indiana's 92 counties. Each Zone Atlas contains high resolution scanned images of vintage 1876 county maps that are presented in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Each county map may include the following 19th century features: * roads, railroads and canals * cities, towns and villages * post offices and government sites * one-room schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries * rivers, streams and ferries * industrial sites, furnaces and mills * early homesteads and farms * and much, much more The Historic Atlas of Indiana series is an invaluable aid to Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century Indiana places. The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary. I see we have somewhat different information as I have Thomas (born 1792) as being married to Nancy Miller and not her son. I believe that Henry must have been his brother, Henry was born 4 years earlier than Thomas. I am thinking they are both the son of Jeremiah Highfill. I had not been aware that Thomas had served under William Henry Harrison at Tippecanoe but you are right I think, as there is a Thomas Highfill on the list of soldiers who served and our Thomas was in IN at the time and there were no other Thomas Highfills there I think. Do you have any further information? Jeanine

Alexander and Flora would be my GGGG Grandparents and are buried in the Sharon cemetery near New Middletown, In. (in Harrison co.). I have a list of the people buried in the Sharon cemetery, and a few years I took some pictures that you are welcome to if you contact me. This list was put together back in 1941 while the stones were legible and in good shape.

Mary Bee Clayton, Tokia's daughter, died just last month. I interviewed her last summer. Send me your address to make sure I have it right. Marilyn
