One place I found where it looked like TN but not certain. There is some indication that his father was MOSES STANTON. They were in Knox County, IN and there is a Moses in Jackson County, IN also. Have not made a complete connection there as yet.

I have George's father William as a brother to Reason T. Lunsford. I've wondered if "Thomas Lunsford" was the same as Reason. His age and location fit but wife's name and his middle inital doesn't. Seems like by about 1850 most all of the descendents of Mason Lunsford had left Harrison county, Indiana. Perhaps this explains why my ancestor was taken in by the Justice family.

George married Mary E. Mason November 1, 1850 in Harrison county and I have been unable to find any trace of him after that date. I am investigating George and Mary as possible biological parents of James Harvey Lunsford born in 1851, orphaned, and raised in the household of William and Nancy Justice in Taylor twp., Harrison county, Indiana. Can someone please check for death/burial records for George Lunsford and/or Mary Lunsford in the early 1850s? Thanks in advance. Richard Corey Kenmore, WA
