What an interesting name! Stonecipher. I wonder where it came from. So many of us today are trying to cipher stones - tombstones! He was the son of George and Jane ? Wright. An old family Bible had the birth and death dates as follows for: Jane, wife of George, departed this life on the 8th day of Oct, 1822, being 77 years of age. George Wright departed this life the 27th day of July 1838 at age 81 years. Jane Wright departed this life on the 12 th day of Jan 1852. [note with this that she was the widow of Robert and living with a daughter, Lucinda Wright Melton]. The BIble belonged to Earl and Clara Mae Melton, gt grandson of Lucinda Wright Melton and then given to my aunt Marguerite Wright Ang. I am not sure of the location of the Bible since my aunts death in 1999. George and Jane, Robert and Ginnett are all buried in the Musselman Cemetery near New Middletown in Harrison County, IN. Robert and Ginnet are my 3rd gt grandparents, through their son George and his wife Julia Ann Reagan. My aunt had copied the ROBERT WRIGHT ESTATE from a box she found on a very high shelf in the Harrison County Courthouse in 1969. If interested, I can copy it out and email it to you, but may be awhile, it is long and there are some health issues I am dealing with on my husband. There may be a copy of the will around here, but not sure, will have to dig. tt has been handed down that the Wrights were from Belfast, Ireland, believe it was shown on a census record that was the place of birth. My line is this.... George and Jane ? Wright Robert and Ginnet Cathcart Wright George and Julia Ann Reagan Wright Lyman Chittenden and Frances M. Love Wright George William and Anna Laura Stewart Wright my mother Jeanne Adams {Frank] and me Another researcher on the Wrights is a cousin, James T. Wall of Arlington, VA. Have you been in touch with him? Barbara

Very few wills have been found to show who belogned to eho family. Add to that they all keep naming the kids the same names over and over and often they were corn only a few years apart which makes them even harder to trace Cathy

Most of my research and others I have corresponded with have Gaberial's birth year as 1803 and list him as the second child of Richard Duggins and Elizabeth Wilson. If I am not mistaken, Richard Duggins gave his permission for Jackson Duggins and Nancy Ellison to be married. I can't lay my hands on my documentation right this minute. Another researcher sent me info that Jackson dies in a drowning accident between 1854 and 1856 and Nancy married Philip Frakes on 14 Sep 1858. I will search a little more and let you know what I can come up with on Richard and Jackson. Thanks again.

I now do the Duggins out of Kentucky as a Hobby. I have Jackson as son of Gabriel Duggins and wife Elizabeth Burk. Reason as Jackson is living next door to Elizabeth, she a widow, in the 1850 cenus. I could be wrong. This is only a guess. From what I can see Now Gabriel father is Richard Duggins and Elizabeth WIlson. Now Gabriel was born about 1800 in KY died May 1847 in Harrison. Age wise Jackson fit much better as Gabriel son rather then Richard. If you have something that shows different I willl be glad to move Jackson to Richard. I have Nancy 3 husband and her death date of 8 May 1882 in Heth, Harrison County, IN Allison Duggins Frakes Beard. daughter Mary married William Dobbs, They were still alive in 1870., Daughter Rebecca married Wilford Shucks, they were still alive in 1880. I find no children by Nancy other husband, I have no death date on the daughter. Jackson died no later then 1868. I have added almost everythng I have on line on Ancestory, com but I always finding odd and ends. Always glad to find new information. [email protected]

Surnames: Lowe, Low Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Di.2ADE/2080 Message Board Post: I am looking for information and descendants of Amos Walter Lowe (Low). He was born July 23, 1867 in Elizabeth, Harrison Co., IN. Married Martha A. Stone on Nov. 23, 1891 in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY her home. They lived in New Albany, Floyd Co., IN and/or Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. For a time he worked for the Southern railroad which may explain how he met a girl from Somerset,KY. She died of tuberculosis on Jan. 21, 1911. He died Jan. 22, 1926. They are buried in separate, unmarked graves in Fairview Cemetery, New Albany, Floyd Co., IN. I know he remarried sometime in 1915 to a woman named Jenny. I have more information about his children and 2nd wife which will be posted later. Amos was the son of George Thomas Lowe(1845 or 1847-1910) and Martha Harriett Detrick Lowe both of Elizabeth, Harrison Co., IN. They moved to New Albany, Floyd Co., IN approx. 1890 where George had a grocery. George was the son of Dr. Nathan Myers Low (1801-1865) and Mary Elizabeth Stephens Low (spelling of surname changed in some later generations). Nathan was from NY and was the first MD in Elizabeth. Mary was from Rhode Island.
