They married,Elizabeth Wiseman, Sarah McMonigle, Hester Neely, and Sara Neely (respectively). This was put together in 1974 by Walter Beanblossom. I do show a Nancy Burris married to Daniel's son, Daniel Jacobs, married 12 apr, 1854. Your information on Elizabeth Wiseman is correct. I have them traced back to England. Maybe the synopsis is incorrect. Thanks for the imput. If you get any information on the Jacobs line I would love to have it. Several online sources show John Jacobs as the father of Admiral Nelson Jacobs. Admiral also appears to be the brother of John P. Jacobs (full name: John Paul Jacobs?). This Jacobs family apparently loved the names of naval heroes and seems to have been from Allegheny/Washington County, Pennsylvania. It's possible the reference to the "John Jacobs" comes through one of John P. Jacobs's son's lines. Possibly a death notice or an obituary, although I don't know for certain, as yet. Anyway, I am descended from a Nancy Jacobs (1805-aft.1870). She may be Admiral's sister. Nancy married Daniel McMonigle (1803-1880) in Pennsylvania, probably Washington or Allegheny counties. Daniel's sister, Sarah McMonigle married John P. Jacobs, Admiral's brother. So it is quite possible my Nancy is a daughter of John Jacobs. David L. McMonigle maintains a great website concerning the "Descendants of James and Osse McMonigle." You may want to check out his notes concerning John P. Jacobs, etc., which are quite interesting. Also, Admiral's wife, Elizabeth Wiseman was the daughter of William Wiseman (1791-1862) and Mary Blind (1792-1872). Elizabeth was deceased at the time her father's will was written (1858), but her four children (Harrison, Mary, Sarah Ann, David) are mentioned in the will. I am descended from Elizabeth's sister, Malinda Wiseman (1823-1906) who married David "Boone-Pitcher" Funkhouser (1819-1896). Jesse L. So my question is what is the "Atlas" and now that I've found him here is there anywhere else you can think of for me to look for more information? Thanks so much for your help. I am a happy girl!
