Elias and two of his brothers Samuel and John were all ministers, I first found this information in the Ashland Co. Ohio, Perry Twp. book. John the father of Elias was born in Dauphin Co. Penn. 9 Sept. 1798, he came to Ashland Co. Ohio with his father Jacob Kiplinger in 1824,at the bottom of the 1850 census is Daniel, a brother of John, Daniel and John had a brother Henry that was an original member of the Red Haw Evangelical Church in Ashland Co.. Interestingly, there was a Francis Ruth that was a minister in Ashland Co in 1824, Elias's father- in- law Adam Ruth didn't immigrate till 1841. You can compare your info to mine in the" Wise Weaver " Tree on Ancestry .com This may be old news to you by now, but I thought I would send a note. Have you tried looking for a marriage record at Harrison County Courthouse? They have them waaaay back. There used to be a man who answered inquiries received by the courthouse and would do minimal research. Don't know if they have anyone like that now, but it's worth a try if you can't go there in person. I was there about 10/12 years ago, and was allowed to browse the dusty room containing hundreds of old marriage records going back at least 150 yiears.

She married Herman Edward Skeens. They had 19 children, but only 16 survived. Her father was Jesse Bottles, Born Aug. 17 1893. I do not know who he married. His parents are Charles Edward Bottles born Aug 13 1865 in New Amsterdam, Harrison County Indiana and died 1948. Julia A. C. Pease. born 1868. Their Children are listed as fallows Jessie Bottles- 1893 Sophia Bottles- 1891-1973 Rosie Bottles- 1898 Charles's Parents are Jacob L. Bottles born Mar.10 1828 in Tennessee and Died Feb.7 1873 in Harrison County, Indiana. Eliza Keller born Jan. 22 1833 in Indiana, and died Mar.6 1918 in Harrison County. I do not know the names of Charles's brothers and sisters. My information on the bottles goes back to Henry Bottles and my information on Eliza goes back to Hans George Keller. If any one has any information on this family, I would greatly apprecate the help. I will gladly share any information that I have with anyone who needs it. The census takers "T's" are broken where the "L" connects to the next letter as in "Lonsuit".
