Christopher was living in Marlboro District, SC in 1810 and 1820. He then moved to Carroll Co., TN, where he died in 1828. His brothers Alexander and Duncan accompanied him. Alexander also died in 1828. Christopher's wife Mary (who was also a McRae before marriage) moved on to Indiana, where her sister Catherine, the wife of William McRae, was already living. She brought her husband's brother Duncan, who was insane, with her. Also several children. Write to me for more information and let's share.

I was able to find marriage records that dated back into the 1830's for my gggrandfather, Potete Bryant. It took some serious "looking" as they were quite "disorganized." Plus, as I said, anyone could have walked off with things as no one monitored the files, the room where they were kept, etc. I understand since county finances are probably tight there as they are most everywhere. Anyway, I am glad things are underway to help preserve history in Harrison Co., IN!

I can't find anything on either one of them.(or what the S stands for) I did find an Ella ROBERTS in the household of a Montgomery DUGGINS as his sister in law. His wife was Emma so I am guessing Emma and Ella were sisters. Does anyone have anything on the DUGGINS line that might be helpful on the ROBERTS line? I am guessing the parents died, moved on, etc.
