A native of Noblesville, he was a retired night watchman at the American-Standard Corp. there. He retired in 1959 after 40 years service. He is survived by the widow, Margaret; a daughter, Mrs. Gifford (Donna) Douglas, Converse; four sons, Earl, George and Raymond, all of Kokomo and Virgil, Sharpsville; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Wayne (Ethel) Howard, Mrs. Runoma Shoemaker, Mrs. Malinda Hudson and Mrs. Frank (Margo) Rubon, all of Kokomo; four stepsons, Joseph Siler and Scott Siler, both of Kokomo, and Russell Siler, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, David Hurlock, Peru; a sister; Mrs. Pearl Wood, Noblesville; 16 grandchildren and 28 great - grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo. The Rev. Austin Gable will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. LEROY HURLOCK, Obituary, Marion Chronicle Tribune, Feb. 23, 1960 Leroy Hurlock, 73, 521 E. S. C St. (Gas City, IN) a retired glass worker, died at 1:30a.m. today at his home. He had been ill since September, 1958. A native of Noblesville. Mr. Hurlock had lived in Gas City for 50 years. He retired from the Owens-Illinois Glass Co., in 1954. A member of the Gas City Christian Church. Mr. Hurlock also was affiliated with the Onized Club and the Quarter Century Club. The widow, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mrs. Violet Benbow, Roll; four grandchildren, three brothers, Earl and David, Kokomo and Arlin, Akron and a sister Mrs. Pearl Wood, Noblesville, are the survivors. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at 400 E. Main St. In charge will be the Rev. Dewey Hole, paster of the Christian Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. DAVID J. HURLOCK, Obituary, Peru David J. Hurlock, 72, Peru, died at 2:08 a.m. Monday at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. Born in Noblesville, he was a retired 40 year employee of the American Standard Pottery Co., Peru. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude: one son, Robert, Kokomo: one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Naomi) Wilson, Greentown: two step-sons, Weldon Turner, Peru and Larry Murphy, Kokomo, one step-daughter Mrs. Norman (Barbara) Knowlton, Peru; eight grandchildren and 10 step-grand children. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fenn-Funeral Home, Kokomo, with the Rev. Carl Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the Galveston cemetery.
