RIDGE ARCADIA -- Jesse G.Ridge, 85, 206 E. Main St., Arcadia, died at 6 o'clock this morning in Tipton County Hospital. He had been ill the past three months. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Arcadia Christian Church. Rev. Lee Spitzer, assised by Rev. Gerald Machgan, will officiae and burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, south west of Arcadia. Friends may call at Shaffer-Hartley Funeral Home, Arcadia, after 7 p.m. Wednesday and until noon on Friday. There will be no viewing at the church prior to the funeral. Mr.Ridge was born in the Arcadia area Feb. 2, 1882, son of William R. and Sarah Lewis Ridge. On May 28, 1905 he and Irene Mundell were married. He had lived in the Arcadia and East union areas until he retired recently from farming and moved into Arcadia town. He was a former member of the Arcadia Christian Church. Surviving are the widow; four daughters: Mrs. Daniel (Dorothy) Holsinger, Indianapolis; Mrs. Hershal (Ethel) Justice, R. 2 Atlanta; Mrs. Joe (Cleo) Petitt,Indianapolis; Mrs. James (Joan) Carson, Arcadia; two sons,Leo R. Ridge and Harold M. Ridge. both of Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren - great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs.Sadie Porter, Arcadia and several nieces and nephews.
