    2. Cindy Musgrove
    3. Does anyone have access to the Hamilton Co., IN 1860 census detail? I have seen an entry in an index for Jane HATFIELD, age 10 in Clay Township, Zionsville P.O. It says the entry is on page 381, household 1162/1162. I am anxious to see who she is enumerated with as this could be my long lost g-g grandmother. Please email me if you have any info at: cindy_musgrove@yahoo.com Thanks! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! 1. CENSUS
    2. Sandra
    3. Hello, I am the new State Coordinator for the Indiana Census Project and would like to urge each of you to consider transcribing a Census. I along with about a million other Genealogists would Thank you. Our Project was started by volunteers of The USGenWeb Project, to transcribe all of the US Federal Census' and upload them to the Internet where they will be available in a searchable archive for all, for FREE. We provide our volunteer transcribers with either a database Program, for census years 1850 and 1860, that has been written exclusively for this Project, or a spreadsheet template for all other years. Our programmer is writing updates that will eventually include all other years. For MAC users we have a Coordinator who specializes in MAC's and she will get you the templates you need. At this time we are unable to provide our transcribers with a copy of the census for the county they wish to transcribe. Each of you must obtain your own copy of the census you sign up for. You will be volunteering your time to transcribe and you will be volunteering the acquisition of the census information. This information can be acquired on CD or in book form. Please consider helping this worthwhile project. Best wishes Sandra USGENWEB Census Project Maryland State Coordinator Indiana State Coordinator Traces of the Past http//www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/7259

    1. Mrs. Julia Williams-PHILLIPS
    2. Matt Verona
    3. hello, I just joined this list... I would like to find the death date & then obituary for an ancestor who probably died in Indianapolis. Her name was Mrs. Julia Williams- PHILLIPS, born January 1893 in Hartford City Indiana, the daughter of Emile & Sylvia Williams (Belgian immigrants), and later moved to Fredonia Kansas, and on to Indianapolis with her PHILLIPS family. Her father's obituary, dated 7/24/1929, states that Mrs. Julia PHILLIPS of Indianapolis is a survivor, and her younger brother's obituary, dated 1/2/1960, states that all sisters were deceased by then, so Julia must have died between 1929 and 1960 -- I assume it was in Indianapolis? Thank you, Matt Verona Houston Texas mtverona@flash.net

    2. Betty Moore
    3. >From Prominent and Representative Men of Indianapolis, 1908: "James K. PRICE was born in Maryland, near Chesapeake Bay, Jan. 30, 1802, son of William and Jemima (WILLIAMS) PRICE. James K. Price operated a farm in Kentucky, about forty miles from Cincinnati, Ohio, and was also a river man, making frequent trips in his boat to New Orleans. In 1854 he removed with his family to Marion county, and later to Hamilton county, Ind., where he died in October, 1875, his wife passing away in September, 1873. Their children were: Margaret, Jeremiah, Francis, Samuel, Zeralda, Eliza and Annie, all born and reared in Bracken county, Kentucky." Does anyone have access to death records or newspaper obits that would confirm James K. PRICE's death in Hamilton Co. in Oct. 1875? Is there a source of official death records around this time? I'd love to be in touch with others researching this line. Betty Moore in California
