He filed deeds to property in Custer Co, Ne at that time.He married Lavina Varney in about 1886 at which time he was about 40 years old. He second maried Louise Scott Knight (Widow of Abel Knight) She was born May 8, 1830 (D) Aug. 17, 1887, children James Anderson, Mary Ann, Elizabeth Asenath, Sadie Helen.     3. I am searching for information on my gr. grandfather, George Washington Barnes. He was born in Forsythe Co., N.C. around 1821. He married Clarinda Fletcher Nov. 2, 1841 in Stokes Co., N.C. She was born June 25, 1825 to Lucy and William Fletcher. George and Clarinda were in the 1850 Census (Sept.) Forsythe Co., N.C. with 4 children. In the 1860 Census (Aug.), Forsythe Co., N.C. George was listed as (Barron). They were still in N.C. with 7 children. Clarinda died in May 1870 and in the 1870 Census (June), Hamilton Co. (Noblesville Twp.), In., George was listed with 7 children. In the 1880 Census(June), Hamilton Co. (Adams Twp), In. George was listed with a second wife, Julia Ann Randell. whom he married Mar. 2, 1871 in Hamilton Co., In. There were 5 children also listed in this census. George, Clarinda, and Julia were all buried Hamilton Co., In. If anyone has any information on: who George's parents were, when he died and where - who Clarinda's parents were, where she died - who Julia's parents were and when and where she died (I have a Julia A. Randell who died Jan. 8, 1914 i Sheridan, In. at the age of 63 but I don't know for certain if this is the right one since I don't have her birth year.) Sorry this is so long but I thought some of this information might hels somebody in their search. Thanks for any help you might give me.     3. Researching the following family: Caroline EDWARDS married 25 May 1872, in Hamilton Co, IN to William CACA. Know of two children - Lena & Willie (no dates). In 1882 they owned the "old Patty LACKEY farm", across the creek from the EDWARDS farm (now under Geist Reservoir) Same year (in Oct) William Sr. was very sick, may have died that year or next.

    3. I am trying to find the ancestors and decendents of Jabez L. Hodson who, I believe, may be my paternal grandfather. I have a copy of his obituary and he was born in N.C. Aug. 8, 1848. His parents were Wm. and Lacy Ann (Whites) Hodson. He married a Miss Anna White when he was 19 yrs. old and they had 1 child named John M., who was born in 1872. After the death of Jabez' wife he married Tempy Barnes and they moved to Indiana and were in Hamilton Co., Ind. in the 1870and 1880 Census. Jabez had three sisters and 2 brothers who survived him when he died on Oct. 15, 1917. Sorry this is so long but I have a lot more information if anyone can help me make this connection.     3. I have a few family's that have married each other and have lived in Madison, Hamilton, and Hancock Co.'s in IN from 1800-1920. The Faucett's and the McNutt's had Sara McNutt Goldsmith, Bob McNutt, and Eliza McNutt Faucett married Thomas Faucett. Thomas Faucett had some brother's and sister's: Sidney Faucett m. someone named Harter, Jane Faucett m. Martin Lunsford, Nancy Faucett never wed., Robert Faucett, and John Faucett. There could have been more children, that I don't know of. A son is born to Eliza and Thomas and they named him, James Henry Faucett(b.1843). James m. Mary Elizabeth Merrill, she was very young. This is about all I know about the Faucett's, I have stories and photo's but not dates and names. That's about all. Thank you for your help, Karen

    2. I am interested in connecting with anyone researching SCHAETTLE, LUNT, or PRESTON. Anna SCHAETTLE was born in IN in the mid to late 1860s; parents Frank J and Amelia Schaettle. Anna married Fred LUNT, in 1884, in Butler County, OH. Their daughter, Olive Anna LUNT was b 15 July 1885 (I don't know where) and 28 Sep 1904 she married James Clyde Preston in Indianapolis. Anna SCHAETTLE LUNT died in Indianapolis, before 1946, and reportedly was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery. Thanks for any help, Edie Rudolph
