[Transcribed on January 23, 2008 by RLJ from microfilm of the original newspaper on file in the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library.] Lewis Martin HALL, eighty-two years old, a well known retired farmer, died at five o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Grace INMAN, a short distance east of Scotland in the south part of Greene County, in which community he had spent his entire life. He had been ill for more than a year. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice FERGUSON and Miss Lora HALL, both of Pleasantville; a son, Otis HALL, of Newberry, and a brother, Joe HALL, of California. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church at Scotland, and were conducted by the Rev. Mr. CRAWFORD, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland.
