Unfortunately, prior to the 1850 census, no family relationships or marital status was shown. The family was in Jennings county, Vernon township, page 38, and was headed by William Hood, 73, a farmer, and included Anna, 47, keeping house, - Nancy, 21, at home, - Andrew, 19, works on farm, - Serena, 16, at home, - Christopher, 19, laborer, - Sarah, 11, at home, - Edward, 7, - Jesse, 6, and Emma, 3. All born in Indiana except for William and Anna born in NC. All listed as Mullato except for William, Andrew and Emma who were listed as Black. Good luck in your hunting.
