[Transcribed on February 16, 2008 by RLJ from microfilm of the original newspaper on file in the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library.] Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Owensburg Baptist Church for Mrs. Anna GEORGE, of that community. Rev. Merla CRAIG officiated at the final rites, and burial was in the Owensburg Cemetery, with Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. GEORGE passed away at her home Friday night at 8:00 o'clock. The daughter of Willie and Lydia (PARKER) FISHER, she was born in Martin County on September 13, 1898. Surviving are the husband, Kelsie GEORGE; two sons, Lawrence GEORGE, of Bloomfield route, and James GEORGE, serving with the US Army in Germany; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice DAILEY, of Bloomfield route; Mrs. Beulah BAILEY, Mrs. Velva HUDSON and Mrs. Mary TODD, of Springville route; five brothers, Emmitt FISHER, Dewey FISHER, Homer FISHER, of Indian Springs; Marlin FISHER, of Springville; Roscoe FISHER, of Linton and two sisters, Mrs. Dora ROBERTS, of Bloomfield route, and Mrs. Pearl CRAIG, of Bedford route.
