Tracing George and Nancy back to 1860 I find them in the Samuel & Nancy Ann Hubble household in Jefferson Twp., Greene Co., IN. Other siblings living in the household are Sarah J., Thomas, Mary Ann, Eveline & Rebecca. (Nancy is listed as Ella in the 1860 census. In the 1850 census Samuel & Nancy (with children Sarah J., Thomas & Mary A.) are living in Jefferson Twp., Owen Co., IN in the household of Ahizah & Sarah Hubble, most likely Samuel's parents. Living next to Samuel & Sarah Hubble in 1860 is Alexander Steward, father of (John) Lewis Steward who eventually marries Samuel's daughter Sarah J. Hubble and his children Clarinda, Lotte, Clark, Lewis & Pleasant. Going back to the 1850 census finds Alexander Steward in Jefferson Twp., Greene Co., IN with his children; Elizabeth, Clarinda, Lucinda, Charlotte, Clark, Lewis & Pleasant.
