[Transcribed on February 28, 2008 by RLJ from microfilm of the original newspaper on file in the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library.] George Hubbard SHARP was born September 26, 1861. He departed this life November 28, 1922; aged sixty-one years, two months and two days. He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1878. He was united in marriage to Jane NOLTING on October 24, 1887. To this union were born five children. They are: Mrs. Amanda POPE, Claude Clayton, Joseph Earl, William Lester and Lillie Esther SHARP. He was the fourth member of a family of nine children born to Joseph R. and Amanda SHARP. He is survived by his five children, six grandchildren. Three brothers, David O., Joseph E. and William H., and four sisters, Mary J. MOYER, Freelove E. SIMONS, Mattie TERHUNE and Louisa RILEY, and one foster sister, Chloe E. WHITFIELD, all survive him. He is also survived by a great number of relatives and friends, who mourn his departure. Funeral services were held at the Nine Mile Church, conducted by the pastor Rev W. H.
