My ancestor, Thomas Hollenback, lived next door in Sullivan Co. Their courthouse burned in 1850. However, I also have a land record for Thomas in Greene county. This is the record: Thomas Hollenback of Sullivan Co., IN bought from the government land office at Vincennes on 1 Oct 1840 the NE quarter of NE quarter Section 32; Township 8 North Range 7 West [Greene Co., IN] Is there a kind volunteer who would look for the sale of this parcel of land for me? Thomas died before 1847. I'm hoping his heirs sold this land. I'll pay the copy and mailing expense plus a reasonable search fee. Two of Thomas' parcels in Sullivan were partitioned in 1847 and the only probate paper I have is dated 1849. Thus, I would think this parcel was sold between its purchase in 1840 and sometime before 1860. Other surnames that might appear are Anthony Mason, Administrator; James & Jane Poston; Sarah Rogers; David, Lewis, Nancy, William, or James Hollenback; or Abba Gail [Abigail] & Samuel Lucas.
