Lawson Wilson was not one of Booker's children. From the early public land purchases in Greene County under the Cash Entry Act of 1820, there are two names that might be related to Lawson. The earliest land sale to a Wilson in Greene County was LEROY WILSON on July 2, 1829 for 80 acres in Center Township in Greene County east of the location of what became the village of Cincinnati near the Greene-Monroe Co. line. The second sale on December 31, 1831 was to GEORGE WILSON for 80 acres in Jackson Township near the Greene-Lawrence County border. Both of these predate Booker's purchase of a 66 acre tract in Perry Township, Lawrence County, Indiana near the Greene County line. Since Lawson Wilson acquired his 40 acre government parcel in Jackson Township, Greene County, Indiana June 1, 1845, he may have been linked to either LEROY or GEORGE WILSON Steve Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
