It was next to the Oak Grove Church, which has been gone for years. This church was founded by John Edmonson, who along with his wife, Sarah Grayson, daughter Mary Angeline Puckett, Son-in-Law George Puckett, are all buried there. These were some of my ancestors. I have visited the cemetery on two occasions. Some one places American flags on the graves of veterans on holidays, so records do exist somewhere. The cemetery sits a few feet above the road, which is very narrow and thus, no place to park a car. The cemetery does seem to be mowed on a periodic basis. There is a mobile home immediately adjacent (south) to the old burial plot and the cemetery is now privately owned. I know this as the last time I was there I was told to get out! The person was not interested in hearing why I was there. That was a few years back and I have never gotten around to pursuing ownership. The Green County Ceme! tery books, as I recall, do not list Oak Grove (the original and only name associated) in any of the three volumes. The location is in Greene County as it lies 200 yards south of Greene County Road 1000N. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
