Have you seen the Gastineau Genealogy by Loyd D. Gastineau? I'd like to see the copies of the ones done by Flossie Oakes, last one being in 1973; some one just made mention of that where data came from and one page if I remember. I had the Gasinteu Book by Loyd and I donated to National Genealogical Society. Sued Martha Wakefield over his father's estate final settlement was dtd. 25 Feb. 1889 this is where his death date comes from. his father d. in 1877 the suit sates mother Nancy 1/3 & rest went 1/9 to Edward C., Mary J. I have alot of Greene co. Records on hand as my ancestors were in Greene co. from formation till ? my dad moved out in 1948 but rest remained there McKee/Vandeventer/Dye/Gastineau/Long/Turley Emery/Edington/Hardesty/McWhirter or Mewhirter/Whitworth/Williams/Ault are my Greene county lines.
