One that not only has names, but includes dates enlisted, dates mustered out, dates died (during or after the war), cause of death if service connected, burial locations (in the fields of battle), etc. I know those who returned home may be listed in the Greene County cemeteries publication but I'm interested in those who may not have returned to Greene County due to battle deaths, but still had ties to the remaining families and children. Seeking all Rowe (Row Roe) men from Greene, Sullivan, Owen and Monroe counties who enlisted.
Have you tried the National Park Services Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System. It might help confirm enlistments/and assigned regiments. However, changes in Regiments was common.
