HARDEN was born in center Township, Greene County, June 27, 1967, died August 12, 197; aged fifty years, one month and fifteen days. He was the son of Adam and Sarah HARDEN. He came to this neighborhood with his mother when a very young man, being the oldest of the family of five children; his father having died with the family most need his care, this responsibility was assumed by him, and was cheerfully borne, aided by his mother and faithful brother, James. He was always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. He was faithfully devoted to his mother, always considering her welfare first. He was honest and upright, possessing an industrious disposition, which made him very useful in the community. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. and Red Men lodges. Besides his mother, he leaves one brother—James HARDEN—and two sisters—Mrs. A. C. PETERSON, of Pigott, Arkansas, and Mrs. A. B. HEATON, of Centralia, Illinois. He will be greatly missed by a host of neighbors and friends. — We desire to thank our neighbors and friends; also the I. O. O.
