The Bible has a publishers date of 1869. Some of the info was recorded after the fact. On the inside of the bible it states John Calvin Carmichael, his bible. Under Birth section it states that John Calvin Carmichael was born August 29, 1843. Mary Carmichael was born August 11, 1842. Mary Susan Carmichael was born 10/19/1865. William Mosely Crmichael was born 11/1/1868. Malinda Jane Carmichael was born 9/4/1871. Then under that in different greenish ink is an entry: possibly Lisa or Disa Elisabeth was born 5/27/1874. I have not been to library to check these out with census. Next page Under births, it gives; William Weaver b. 7/29/1836. Nancy A Weaver b.4/1/1838, Nathan Weaver b. 5/17/1840, Polly Weaver b. 8/17/1842, Matilda Weaver b. 6/20/1846; John Weaver b. 11/20,1847; Sarrah J. Weaver b.7/23/1850 Archabald Carmichael b. 4/17/1819. I believe the Archabald Carmichael was John Calvin's father born in Surry County, NC who moved to Indiana in 1830 or so and married Lizzie Sparks who was probably born in Wilkes Co.NC They were married in IN although the Bible doesn't have her name. Indiana Marriages before 1850 state that Elizabeth Sparks married Archibald Carmichael 11/22/1842 in Greene Co. IN. The Greene Co IN GenWeb site has an obituary for Archabald. I believe the listing of Weavers are the siblings of Mary. The Polly could be Mary. Birth dates are similar. One is 11/11/1842 birth the other is 11/17/1842 birth although the 7 of the 17 is much darker, as if it has been gone over. According to the 1850 Census of Greene County,In the parents of these Weaver children were Andrew and Susanna Weaver. In the deaths section of the bible, Mary Carmichael died 7/19/1888. John Calvin Carmichael died 3/16/1923. then a space and Wm Weaver died 6/22/1852 Nancy A.dyer died 3/27/1885, Matilda Arthur died 5/30/1876, Martha A.Weaver died 1/25/1882. another space then; Susan Weaver was born 1/6/1813 and died 1/21/1862 Andrew Weaver was born 11/4/1810 and died 3/4/1868. The first page had: John Calvin Carmichael married Mary (hard to tell how it is spelled..could be Weaver, Midrer,Wedrer but I believe it is Weaver. Married 1/21/1864. Under that is Mary S. Carmichael, William F. Bunger was married 5/31/1891 (This is proven by the marriage records of Greene Co. IN. ..I'm just not positive who they are yet) Just below that is John C. Carmichael 8 Mary El(not sure about middle initials) Carmichael married 10/20/1889. Not sure what the 8 after John C. Carmichael means, either. So I don't know whether this was the original John Calvin or someone else who married a little over a year after the original Mary died in 1888.
