Eaton as practicing law in Greene Co. on page 174. Page 470 has a Morgan Eaton as the owner of a Mill. Page 480 lists Morgan Eaton as on of the first county supervisors. Page 485 list the first land patents which includes Morgan Eaton & an H. S. Eaton. Page 487 tells of Morgan Eaton erecting and maintaining a toll Bridge over Busseron Creek at or near Eaton's Mills. Page 48 mentions an L. Eaton being involved in the 1856 Fair. John H. Eaton is listed as a Justice of the Peace in 1831 on page 510. Page 511 shows Morgan Eaton as sheriff in 1817. William Eaton is identified as being in Mastin's company (I) in 1862. Page 581 has Company D of the 31st Regiment which lists J. R Eaton as killed at Kehesaw. J. T. Eaton is listed with the same company. Company F of the 115th Regiment lists an R. G. Eaton in 1863. Archy Eaton is listed with Company G 11th Cav. on page 596. William, John & Charles Eaton are named as early pioneers on page 604 as was James Eaton on page 605. James was also a teacher in the early schools. Page 614 has this short story: "Flouring mill of Jetson and Thomas Eaton and Charles Parks, on the northeast corner of Section and Jackson streets. This was a little mill built several years ago by John Whitman. After changing its ownership a number of times during the year 1883, the present company became associated in its ownership, and in the summer and fall of that year razed it to the ground, and thoroughly reconstructed it, putting in new and improved machinery, and now do first-class work."
