Information I am tracking has George W. Vest Jr., son of George W. Vest SR. of Boone Co. Kentucky, was first married to Elinore Emmett. His second wife was to a Mary Stewart. I have at least three children of George and Elinore were Elizabeth, Fielding, and Alethia Ann. Alethia Ann was my 2nd. great grandmother. Shelby Co. Indiana records has the following- Fielding Vest married Malinda McCarthy - 05 June 1838 Robert Terrell married Elizabeth Vest - 24 Dec. 1840 Andrew J.Pool married Alethia Vest - 20 Jan. 1842 George W. Vest married Mary Stewart - 10 May 1850 I have a copy of the Marriage Affidavit for Andrew J. Pool and Alethia Vest stating they were married on the above date and in Shelby Co., Indiana. Andrew died during the Civil War. Alethia died in Koleen, Greene Co. Indiana 1891. A lot of our family still lives in Gerren County. I am still researching this line.
