I'm trying to figure out the connections between these Minks and Arthurs who were living in Monroe and Greene Co.'s in IN early 1800's. I desc. through James MINKS b. ca1805 VA m. Martha ARTHUR Monroe Co.IN 6 Jan 1833. In my searching I have also found these other Minks and Arthurs who were married around the same time and local and were wondering if they were siblings or cousins?? If anyone could help answer any of these questions I would welcome your input. First was James MINKS above Henry MINKS m. Emelia SARE Monroe Co.IN 19 Oct 1837 Peter MINKS m. Rachel ARTHUR Greene Co.IN 18 Apr 1839 Margret MINKS m. Joseph ARTHUR Monroe Co.IN 29 Sep 1840 I also found Henry and James living close together on the 1840 Monroe Co.IN census. I believe that James parents are Peter MINKS b. 1785 VA d. ca1848 Gr.Co.IN m. Hannah Jane/Jayne........so far have not been able to find much on them in IN. They were married Washington Co.VA.
