Myers.” [Transcribed 15 April 2002 from Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library’s IHS Microfilm Records.] Mrs. Ann MYERS died last Friday morning at 3:20 of old age, at her home in Worthington. Her age was over eighty-four years. The funeral occurred last Sunday afternoon from her late residence in Worthington and there was a large attendance at the services, which were conducted by Rev. J. H. CARNES, pastor of the M. E. church at Linton, assisted by Rev. J. E. FISHER and Rev. D. HANNA. Two sons, Representative J. D. MYERS, of Worthington, and J. H. MYERS, of Cleveland, Ohio, survive, besides several grandchildren and a loving host of relatives and friends. Mrs. MYERS, “Aunt Ann,” as she was affectionately called, was born in March 1828 in Pennsylvania. She emigrated to Ohio with her parents. She was married to George MYERS, and to them, two sons were born. The family came to Worthington from Ohio in 1867. The husband died three years ago in August. Mrs. Ann MYERS was a noble woman. She had been a life long Christian and since 1867 had been a faithful member of the Methodist church of Worthington. For many years she was a teacher of a Sunday school class. She was a loving wife and an affectionate mother, a good neighbor, charitable, patient, kind, true and industrious. All who knew her loved and respected her. — NOTES—RLJ: (1) DEATH RECORDS OF GREENE COUNTY, INDIANA, Health Department, E.
