February 10, 1869 she was married to John Stewart. To them one son, Joseph W. was born December 1, 18871, and died June 27, 1887. Her husband departed this life January 1, 1912, and she went away February 10, 1912, the 42nd anniversary of her marriage, at the age of 79 years and 18 days. She had one brother, John HOPKINS, and three sisters, Mrs. Eliza HILL, Mrs. Maggie CUSHMAN and Mrs. Mina D. BUTCHER, the last named, who resides in California, is the only surviving member of her immediate family. The living stepchildren are Mrs. Asenath L. BUZZARD and Mrs. Martha E. {BLEVINS}, unto whom she became a mother and cared for them until they were married. At a very early age, Mrs. Stewart became a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church and she remained a consistent a! nd earnest member thereof until her home-going. Funeral held at Presbyterian church Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Elder J. A. SPENCER, assisted by Rev. S. P. MARSHALL.
